A Professor and the Head of the Institute of Architecture at the University of Pécs, Hungary. He is teaching Basics of Architecture, Residential Building Design, Public Building Design, Interior Design, Complex Design and Final, and many other related subjects. Holding a DLA, Architecture from University of Pécs, Ákos taught and gave lecture in several universities internationally, such as China Central Academy of Fine Arts, Metropolitan State University of Denver, USA, and Hubei University of Technology, China. He is a thesis advisor at the Marcel Breuer Doctoral School where his main topics are the contemporary architecture in historical environment and the social architecture. Some of his projects include New Market Hall in Pécs, Urban and Building Design Competition (Hungary, Award Winning), MILANO EXPO 2015 Hungarian National Pavilion (Italy, 1st Prize), ANS III Control Centre for Ferihegy Airport (Budapest), “Mirage” Tower (Doha, Qatar), and many other related projects.[/iaif_curator]

Dublin Institute of Technology, Ireland

The Head of Design at the Dublin School of Creative Arts at the Dublin Institute of Technology in Grangergorman, Dublin, Ireland. Graduated from School of Architecture in Bolton Street, he also holds a Masters in Professional Design Practice from Dublin Institute of Technology. A fellow of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland, Barry has been involved in the design of numerous projects from architecture and interior design to graphics, multimedia and product design. His work has appeared in magazines and newspapers as well as on television. Barry is a regular commentator on design matters in the national media. He has judged many design awards including the James Dyson Awards, the Institute of Creative Advertising and Design awards as well as the Art Directors Club of Europe Awards and the China International Design Biennial. He writes a running blog dedicated to the works of James Joyce, www.jj21k.com. Barry is actively involved in numerous design organisations. He has been keenly involved in Dublin’s bid for World Design Capital and is a PIVOT Dublin partner. He is the President Emeritus of the Institute of Designers in Ireland.[/iaif_curator]

An Assistant Professor at Peck School of the Arts, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, USA. He is currently representing his school and teaching as Visiting Assistant Professor at Hubei University of Technology, China. Edmund specialised in Design for Digital Fabrication (Rendering, Prototypes, 3D Printing), Typography, Drawing and Illustration subjects. Holding an MFA in Fine Arts, Painting and Drawing from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, he works on many exhibition projects, including Sneak-Peak: A Look at Private Collections (USA), Bubble Lab, Such Familiar Places, 2 Person Exhibition (China), INFINITE PATH: 3D Printing Design Exhibition (China), The World Retrieved Contemporary Landscapes (USA), Arts + Tech Night (USA), Walker’s Point Center for the Arts Annual Members Exhibition (USA), All Things Horror Exhibition (USA), Metal Mask Exhibition (USA), and many others. A Faculty Member and the Manager of Internationalization and Partnership Programme at School of Design, BINUS University, Indonesia.  Hanny actively involves in many art and design projects as both academician and professional. Holding an MA in Museums, Galleries and Contemporary Culture from the University of Westminster, she works on many projects that intertwined with contemporary art, design, and culture. Hanny has published books and articles, including ‘Western Art Review’, ‘The Significance of Religious Objects in Museums as a Cultural Reflection’, and ‘Practice-Led Project as a Creative Method to Enhance Theoretical Knowledge in Art and Design Education’. Some of her latest projects include Interdisciplinary Workshop and Exhibition: World Landmarks in Chinese Perspective (China), Interpretation of Man and Woman (Collaborative Project, Indonesia), Design for Water and Sustainable Asia (Collaborative Project, China), and Neighbour Programme (Collaborative Project, Southeast Asia). A Dean, Faculty of Design at LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore. With extensive teaching experience of more than 14 years, She is instrumental to LASALLE’s Faculty of Design. She manages the demanding and challenging task of leading the pedagogical development and strategic growth of all the design programmes at her institution. Under her leadership, the Faculty of Design has garnered international recognition and has won major design awards, achieving great success at regional and international design competitions and showcases including Crowbar awards, Furniture Design Awards, Red Dot Awards, Young Ones New York and D&AD New Blood and Graduate Fashion Week in London. Nur Hidayah has also initiated several collaborative partnership projects with different design institutions. She has also presented a research paper at the Ubuntu International Design Symposium 2011 in Seoul, which covers The Role of Design Education and another research on Collections, Fashion Curating and the Rise of Fashion Exhibitions in Museums. With faculty staff members, she is currently developing design capability programmes with communities in Asia and investigating issues on social enterprise for a more inclusive design culture. University of Westminster, United Kingdom

The Course Leader for the Masters in Museums, Galleries and Contemporary Culture at the University of Westminster, United Kingdom. He has worked in a wide range of museums and arts organisations in the UK with a particular emphasis on photography and digital media. Graduated from the Australian National University and University of Westminster, Peter used to work in some cultural organisations, including the National Museum of Photography, Watershed Media Centre and the Photographers Gallery – where he developed a specialism as a curator working with photography. He also specialised in digital media and worked at Artec, the Arts Technology Centre, London and DA2 (Digital Arts Development Agency, Bristol). Peter devises new media projects and concentrates on curating online, devising projects with digital artists and organizing digital media exhibitions around the UK and internationally, in museums, galleries and festivals. His recent academic research is into multi-sensory visitor engagement in museums and looking at the way that digital media and interdisciplinary arts projects are presented within galleries and museums. Peter is the co-author, with Professor Andrew Dewdney, of the ‘Digital Media Handbook’.[/iaif_curator]

Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand

A Professor of Architectural Theory and the Head of School of Design at the Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. Graduated from Harvard University and Georgia Institute of Technology, he has researched and taught design studios, research methods, modern architecture, urbanism, and media internationally. Thomas’ research focuses on the historical, qualitative, and transformative attributes of architectural and urban spaces, with interest in the logical and sensory models and processes used in the production of spaces, and how these spaces then produce meanings and identities. His background in architectural theory, philosophy, and cultural studies inflects these investigations, which range across the spectrum of visible and invisible values forming and informing our spatial experiences. His work has also examined cinema and film theory, media-philosophy, other landscapes, and a teaching interest in hybrid and non-standard qualitative design-research methods. Thomas has published many books, articles, and essays. He plans to continue to write scholarly books while in the leadership position.[/iaif_curator]

Central Academy of Fine Arts, China

A Professor at School of Design in Central Academy of Fine Arts, China. He also holds position as Academic Dean at Gengdan Institute of Beijing University of Technology, China. Actively involves in international design association, Xiao is an Executive Board Member of Cumulus Association (2016-2019) and Former Vice President at Icograda (2009-2011). Graduated from University of Art and Design Helsinki and used to be a Visiting Scholar at Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart, he taught and lectured in more than 350 universities in China and internationally. As a distinguished Graphic Designer, Xiao was awarded as one of the Top 10 Chinese Design Figures. His works are featured in international design media and collected by art museums. Some of his prominent projects include Medal Design of Beijing Olympics 2008, Logo Design for Cumulus Green, Pure Finland, Chinese Home Service; Olympics Stamp Design: From Beijing to London (joint issued by China and UK); Identity Design for Beijing Olympic Festival, and many other significant works on international level.[/iaif_curator]

Hubei University of Technology, China

A Professor and the Dean of School of Arts and Design at Hubei University of Technology, China. He is a Board Member of Design Committee, China Packaging Design Association, Hubei Youth Union, Hubei Technology and Fine Arts Association. Zhou graduated from Hubei Institute of Fine Arts and used to be a visiting scholar at China Central Academy of Fine Arts, Koln International School of Design, and California State University Sacramento. His research mainly focused on design management, design plan, typography, and information design. Zhou has published some monographs, such as ‘Fundamental of Typography’, ‘Typography Design’, ‘Pattern Design’, and ‘Estate Logo Design’. Published more than 40 academic papers, he still actively hosts many national funding projects. Some of his projects include China National Social Science Funds of Art, China National Funds of Art, and China Ministry of Education Funds of Social Sciences. As the Founder and Art Director of Hubei One Peak Culture Media Ltd., Zhou has conducted more than 20 art exhibitions.
